Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

Summary (quick read)

  • Goods (refurbished watches; new straps/accessories): 14-day EU right of withdrawal from delivery.

  • Services (watch service/repair): 14-day withdrawal from order; if you ask us to start work early you pay proportionate costs; after full performance with your express consent, withdrawal no longer applies.

  • Workshop warranties: Service work (movement) 6 months; Refurbished watches (movement) 6 months. Statutory rights remain.

  • Water-resistance: Valid at time/date of our test only.

  • Returns: Use tracked, insured shipping; you’re responsible until we receive the return.

1) Scope & definitions

  • Goods = refurbished watches; new straps & accessories.

  • Services = watch service/repair/restoration.

  • Refurbished = pre-owned, patina-respectful; not “as-new”.

  • We are independent and not affiliated with any brand. Trademarks belong to their owners.

  • Your statutory consumer rights under EU/EEA and Finnish law are not affected.

2) Ordering, prices & payment

  • Prices in EUR, incl. Finnish VAT where applicable.

  • The price shown at checkout applies. Payment methods as displayed at checkout.

  • Non-EU buyers are responsible for any local taxes/duties.

3) Shipping & risk

  • Service orders: At checkout we collect your return address and offer insured return-shipping.

    • You → us: You pack and ship your watch; you bear risk/insurance until we confirm receipt.

    • Us → you: For consumer purchases, risk passes on delivery.

  • Inspect deliveries within 48 hours and report transport damage immediately.

4) Right of withdrawal (EU distance sales)

4.1 Goods (refurbished watches; new straps & accessories)

  • You may withdraw within 14 days from the day you (or your designee) received the goods.

  • Email service@specrated.com within 14 days; return the goods within 14 days of your notice.

  • Return condition:

    • Refurbished watches: Return complete with accessories/documents; tamper seals intact; no handling beyond what’s necessary to check the item.

    • New straps/accessories: Unworn, unmounted, original packaging/films intact.

    • We may deduct for diminished value caused by handling beyond what’s necessary.

  • Return shipping costs: You pay, unless the item was faulty/not-as-described on arrival. Use tracked, insured service.

  • Refund timing: Within 14 days of receiving the return (or proof of dispatch), to your original payment method.

4.2 Services (watch service/repair)

  • You may withdraw within 14 days from order confirmation.

  • If you ask us to start work during the 14 days, you owe proportionate costs for work already performed.

  • Once the service is fully performed with your express prior consent and acknowledgment that you lose the right to withdraw, the withdrawal right no longer applies.

  • To withdraw: email service@specrated.com within 14 days.

5) Returns process (goods)

  1. Email service@specrated.com with your order number to obtain return instructions.

  2. Pack securely; include all items/paperwork.

  3. Ship tracked & insured; share the tracking.

  4. We inspect and refund minus any lawful deductions for diminished value (where applicable).

Non-returnable (unless faulty): custom/special-order parts, used straps, gift cards, clearly personalized items.

6) Faulty or not-as-described

If a product or serviced watch is faulty/not-as-described under applicable law, contact service@specrated.com. We will remedy per law (repair, replacement, re-service, price reduction, or refund). Your statutory rights remain.

7) Workshop warranties (voluntary, in addition to legal rights)

7.1 Services (after we return your watch)

  • Coverage: 6-month workshop warranty on the serviced movement from delivery. Covers workmanship and parts we supplied/installed.

  • Exclusions: impact/shock; water ingress after delivery; misuse/neglect; magnetism; corrosion/chemicals; third-party opening/work; normal wear (e.g., crystals, crowns/tubes, bezels, bracelets, gaskets as consumables); issues resulting from declined recommended parts (e.g., you declined parts needed for WR/performance).

  • Process: Email with order number, symptoms, photos/video. Ship to us tracked/insured. If accepted, we re-service/repair at no charge and cover return shipping back to you.

7.2 Refurbished watches (sold by us)

  • Coverage: 6-month workshop warranty on the movement from delivery for defects in our workmanship/parts fitted by us before sale.

  • Exclusions & process: Same as 7.1. If repair isn’t reasonable, we may offer exchange or refund.

7.3 New straps & accessories

  • Covered by the statutory legal guarantee and any manufacturer warranty. Excludes wear-and-tear, cosmetic changes, accidental damage, improper fitment/modification.

Note on water-resistance: Any WR result is valid at the documented time/date of our test only. Users who swim/dive should arrange regular (e.g., annual) WR checks.

8) Liability limit

We do not limit liability where unlawful (e.g., death/personal injury due to our negligence, fraud). Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, market value changes, missed events, or courier failures.

  • For any claim relating to a purchase or service, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for that item/service.

9) Force majeure

We aren’t responsible for delays/failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., supply issues, customs delays, strikes, outages, war, natural events).

10) Complaints & dispute resolution

Email service@specrated.com and we’ll respond promptly.

11) Governing law & venue

Finnish law applies. Disputes may be brought in Finland or your EU member state courts as consumer law provides.
