Full Mechanical Service

Before you order: Please email us first at service@specrated.com with your brand/model/reference, movement (if known), WR goal, and a couple of clear photos. We’ll confirm suitability, parts availability and lead time. Only purchase after our confirmation.

Purpose: Get your watch running to spec for real-world wear—without erasing its history.

What’s included (base)

  • Intake & diagnosis — functional checks, timegrapher baseline, magnetism test; note your wear style and WR goal.
  • Complete teardown & ultrasonic clean — movement fully disassembled; case/bracelet deep-cleaned.
  • Parts includednew mainspring + new gasket set (where applicable).
  • Reassembly & lubricationre-oil to spec with the correct grades; end-shake & tolerances set.
  • Regulation & control — multi-position rate, amplitude, beat error; demagnetise if needed; power-reserve & autowind checks.
  • Testing — 48–72 h run test; pressure test where the case allows; we log pressure + date.
  • Finish (patina-first) — clean only by default; light refinishing available on request (extra).
  • Documentation — timing sheet + service notes; WR test card (if tested).

What’s extra (quoted & approved first)

Crystal policy

Crystals are not included in the base service.

  • Acrylic/Hesalite: we’ll polish light marks when feasible; replacement is quoted.

  • Mineral/Sapphire: quoted (part + install). If damage prevents meeting your WR target, we’ll advise and quote before continuing.

Pricing (guide)

  • Flat €200 for standard three-hand mechanical watches from other brands.

  • Chronographs, high complications, unusual WR targets: quoted after inspection.
    Final quote after inspection/parts check.

Water-resistance note

WR is valid at the time of test only; wear, age and shocks can change it. If you swim/dive, we recommend annual checks.

Patina stance

We preserve honest wear and original character. No heavy polishing unless you ask for it.

Suitable calibres (examples)

ETA 2824/2836/2892, Sellita SW200/SW300, Miyota 8xxx/9xxx, Seiko NH35/NH36, and comparable three-hand/date mechanicals from microbrands and heritage brands. Chronographs/complications: ask—priced after inspection.

€200,00

The base rate is €200 for standard three-hand mechanical watches. Email us before ordering with your brand/model/reference, movement (if known), WR goal and clear photos so we can confirm parts and lead time.

If inspection shows additional work, rare/expensive parts, chronograph or non-standard calibres, or unusual WR targets, we’ll issue a firm quote before proceeding, which may raise the price above the base service. (Base includes a new mainspring and gaskets where applicable.)

Teardown and ultrasonic clean; re-oil to spec; new mainspring + gaskets; multi-position regulation (rate, amplitude, beat error); demagnetise if needed; 48–72 h run test; WR test where possible; timing sheet and notes. Patina-first by default; light refinish on request (extra).

Calibres covered: Most ETA 2824/2836/2892, Sellita SW200/SW300, Miyota 8xxx/9xxx, Seiko NH35/NH36 and comparable three-hand mechanicals. Chronographs or unusual calibres are welcome—priced after inspection.

No. Acrylic/mineral/sapphire replacements are separate and quoted. We’ll polish acrylic lightly when feasible. If the crystal prevents a WR pass at your target, we’ll advise and quote.

Patina-first. Clean by default; light, sympathetic refinishing on request (extra). No heavy polishing unless you ask.

We test and document WR at service. It’s valid at the time of test only. Annual checks recommended if you swim/dive.

However, user error may still allow water to get into the watch. Due to this, we offer no warranty for waterproofness - only a certificate that while in service in controlled conditions and no user error the watch has passed WR testing.

Usually 2–5 weeks. Buy the service, choose return-shipping, complete the intake, ship to us; we confirm any extras, service the watch, and return it insured & tracked.
